Bass lessons should be FUN and not complicated.
That’s how we do it here at The Bass Factory. Whether you have tried in the past and got frustrated or have never picked up a bass, this site is for you!
After years of playing live, I started to give lessons on the side. I recognized that the majority of my students had previously had lessons, but got so frustrated, they left. That’s when I knew there had to be a better way. Along came The Bass Factory. Practical bass lessons for the up and coming musician.
Stacy K had taken lessons for years but just left feeling frustrated. When she came to me I knew this may be her last attempt before hanging it up forever (OHH NOOOOOO!!!!). Within the first few lessons Stacy was getting a grasp in a new way, because we teach a different way. Here is what she had to say:
“I have had lessons in the past. They have left me feeling like it was going to be impossible to grasp the musical language. You had very clearly taught me that language and made if so fun for me! You are a GREAT teacher!”-Stacy K
The frustration phenomena is often created because bass teachers teach for themselves not the student. This is normally because the teacher has 20-30 students and they have to find a way to accommodate them all. So what happens? Most lessons start with a book of theory and some basic single lines to songs you don’t care about. For months (maybe even years) you get a dictionary full of information you may not ever use again.
The Bass Factory, teaches you practically, so you can get out there and start playing quickly.

Thank you Steve! I have had lessons in the past. They have left me feeling like it was going to be impossible to grasp the musical language. You had very clearly taught me that language and made if so fun for me! You are a GREAT teacher!
I have enjoyed working with Steve for several years now and have learned a tremendous amount of knowledge from him. His format is very friendly and he encourages any and all questions. I highly recommend him!Chris D.
